Back to Reality

I finally got to the point where I don’t feel like total garbage. I have been fighting this illness for about a month now, and my goodness, I am exhausted. Anyway, I’ve gotten to the point where my body no longer hurts, and I’m not hacking up a lung every time I inhale. Oh and I can utilize my nose!! That’s a win all by itself.

I got up yesterday and I went to the gym for the first time in 3 weeks. I lifted terribly, but that’s to be expected after being out of it for so long. It’s a start though. I will slide back into that groove with easy… I hope. I then decided it would be a good idea to get a little cardio in before I left. Let’s just say that these last few weeks have not treated my body well. That will take a little time too, but hopefully not too much time. There’s a PT test that I have to take here in the near future, and I am in need of a perfect score.

As soon as the new year hit, my classes started back up again. That just means that I have an excessive amount of homework to accomplish each week. The only way to progress in life is to push yourself though, so I’m pushing. The goal is to be done with my bachelors before I leave japan next year. I will be stretched a little thin, but at the end of the day, it will be worth it. It will be one less thing that I need to worry about, one more thing to have under my belt, and it will open a ton of doors.

So, back to reality really means that things are back to being extremely busy. To be honest though, that’s the only way that I know how to live. It makes time fly, it keeps me occupied, and it helps me appreciate the little breaks that I get when they come along. That and I feel that you truly start to age when you finally sit down and let the motions.

Have a good one!
