Cheer Up Buttercup!

When I’m at work, I give it everything I’ve got to remain positive. I smile at anyone that walks in, and smile when they leave. I give it my all to have a positive outlook in the workplace. There are many reasons behind why I do this, but there is one in particular that outweighs the other reasons.

You see, you never truly know what someone else is going through. They could in fact be going through something that is far worse than what you are going through. A bit of negativity could be what sends them over the edge, but a bit of positivity… that would be what turns their whole world around. You never really know. So, I find that it is better to remain positive, remain optimistic, and remain kind. I do this with hope that my attitude toward any individual is a positive one.

I must admit that sometimes it is a challenge. I have days like everyone else where it is a complete and total struggle to remain in the right state of mind. Who doesn’t have those days though? It can get rough. I push through though. I always remember that there are others that have it worse than me. That’s what keeps the smile on my face.

So, cheer up buttercup, because you don’t know the half of what others are going through. Your life is a piece of cake in comparison to someone else’s bottomless pit of chaos. Put on that big smile, be cheerful, and be that influence that could change someone else’s life for the better. Express your aggressions and negativity with someone that knows you and you know them, because that’s how it should be done.

Have a good one!
